| Introduction | 2013 International Conference on Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure─ Sustainable Development, Innovation and Education Apr 19-20, 2013 Taichung, Taiwan Second ANNOUNCEMENT & CALL FOR PAPER The conference will focus on a broad range of topics related to research in tourism and hospitality. The conference invites papers on either completed research or a preliminary report on “research in progress”. Venue: Hungkuang University Taichung, Taiwan (City located in west-central Taiwan) The theme of this conference is “Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure: Sustainability and Innovation” and the aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for presentation and discussion for their research outcomes among academic scholars and those who are interested in hospitality and tourism development in the Asia Pacific region. This conference will enable and encourage participants to exchange information on research and also network for future collaboration in research and academic exchanges. The conference will focus on a broad range of topics related to research in tourism and hospitality. The conference invites papers on either completed research or a preliminary report on “research in progress”. CONFERENCE INCLUDE 1. keynote speeches (1) Prof. Bernard Lane (Co-Editor, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, UK) (2) Prof. Philp Pearce (Head of Discipline – Tourism Events & Sports, Foundation Professor of Tourism, James Cook University, Australia) (3) Prof. Perry Hobson (Pro-Vice Chancellor – Global Engagement, Taylor’s University, Malaysia) 2. Paper presentations. GENERAL INTEREST SESSIONS The conference will feature several plenary sessions that will include panel presentations focusing on: ●International development trends in tourism, Leisure & and hospitality industry ●Sustainable development of tourism and Leisure industry ●Hotel industry development and management ●Restaurant and foodservice industry development and management ●Travel and transportation industry development and management ●Creative Education and training in tourism, Leisure and hospitality industry ●Marketing and branding strategies in tourism, Leisure and hospitality industry ●Human resources management in tourism, Leisure and hospitality industry ●Quality service in tourism, Leisure and hospitality industry ●Information technology development in tourism, Leisure and hospitality industry ●New issues on eco, medical, cultural, and gastronomical tourisms ●And other topics relating to tourism, Leisure and hospitality industry Abstract ●Three-page abstracts (typed single-spaced) of proposed papers should be submitted for the final selection process. ●Submit abstracts by email to the Director of Paper Review Committee Prof. Jeou-Shyan Horng (henrymax302@gmail.com). ●Deadline for submitting abstracts is March 4, 2013. ●Paper Review Committee will conduct a refereed screening of abstracts. Authors of accepted abstracts will be asked to submit completed papers before March 11, 2013. Full Paper ●Full paper submission is allowed for the final selection process. Indicate the authors name and affiliation only on the cover page of the full paper and they should not be indicated anywhere in the paper. ●Submit full papers by email to the Director of Paper Review Committee Prof. Jeou-Shyan Horng (henrymax302@gmail.com). ●Deadline of full paper submission for a refereed screening process is April 7, 2013. ●Once the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors must register for and present the paper at the conference. ●Submission of completed full papers and a refereed screening process will be acknowledged in the Conference Proceedings. PUBLICATION PLAN Final copies of accepted papers will be professionally published as an edited conference proceedings prior to the conference.
